Ha ha, this is great, and so true as well. I've only played the PC version a few times (most of my friends own it on the Xbox 360 so I got to follow suit) but it's almost hilarious how many times people get killed because they took too long typing out a plea for help.
-- Ninjas never go down easy. Especially the l33t ones. Funny how in the autochat ("Z") doesnt have "Help".
-- Hell Yeah: [link] "Another life saved, thanks to girl on girl action" Dr. Gregory House "Shall we find something to kill to cheer ourselves up?" HK-47 This isn't such a big deal in the PC versus because chat commands are much more detailed and are on a comms rose like in various other PC shooters.
The Xbox version doesn't have any voice commands aside from clicking the left stick to say "look over here" or a phrase related to whatever you're looking at, such as "pipe bomb over here" or "pills here." The voice commands are one context-sensitive button and the characters say half of them automatically anyway. THAT'S one of the biggest differences between the 360 version and the PC version; Survivor dialogue is much, much more limited on Xbox, making a mic much more important for that version of the game. The only reason I'm not playing it on my PC is because my piece of crap video card overheats really fast. -- I do a good impression of myself, but what's normal now anyhow? |
