The meta of this is exceptionally potent to me because engineers are the safest class for a pyro to turn their back on. Spies are almost pathological about sapping unattended sentries and a lone engineer standing next to functional equipment almost isn't worth the ammo to spy-check. Also the steady Clang Clang of the wrench means that the engineer is meleeing the sentry, something that would break the spy's disguise. Given Pyro's paranoia in this comic that sound must be like a hymnal that of all his teammates, the Engineer can be trusted.
